Spring is here, officially, sort of, because on the Hi-Line the weather is always mercurial and we’ve had days of 60-degrees-plus and days of snow for the past few weeks.

We ushered in the new season anyway by enjoying one last day of after-calving-season-before-seeding-starts freedom. In true us fashion, we drove almost as many hours as we actually enjoyed the place, but we made sure we had fun, with a trip to the playground and hikes to waterfalls and lots of time with family we hadn’t seen in a while.

I didn’t get many good pictures because it was raining and snowing.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t raining at home too, but that looks like it could change today — just in time for spring and the next round of work that comes with it.
